Nepal make-shift prisons are nearing collapse
Prisons in Nepal are overcrowded and falling apart. Many inmates are incarcerated in old make-shift facilities - originally built for animals - that simply can't cope. Despite a 2008 UN study that said prisons in Nepal needed upgrading, which was promised by the authorities. However, prisoners say its taking far too long. Al Jazeera's Subina Shrestha has more on prison life in rural Western Nepal.
